Mais la production s'arrête en 1984, les ventes étant insuffisante et le cout de production élevé, prémisse du crack de l'été 1984 ?<br /> <br /> MB va se débarrasser de la console en revendant tous les droits au développeur original de la machine, Smith Engineering qui, aujourd'hui, ferme les yeux sur l'exploitation commerciale ou non de ce qui reste de la Vectrex et de ses jeux ainsi que sur l'émulation.<br /> <br /> Après la fin de la production une société rachètera une partie des stocks pour les convertir en machines à sous.
